37 Years of Adventure
Life is...
...wonderfully surprising!
- Gorgeous weather (blue skies and breezy temps)
- The world is blooming
- Sleeping in
- Hikes
- Tasty local meals and plentiful desserts
- The super flower blood moon (thanks for the warning of the eclipse, Chris!)
- The San Diego Botanic Garden
If you can handle a five-minute video full of selfies and flower shots--I was learning to love my new iPhone camera--here's a link. You'll see our surprises, like the eclipse (just for our big day!), and the garden.

How to know you've got the right life partner? We both thought it was a good idea to, the day before, make a schedule for our big day.
Then, as per schedule,we also both thought it was a good idea to set the alarm for 4:00 a.m. to watch the sky and then, later, spend hours walking through gardens. Combine those adventures with divers' scallops and chocolate dessert for dinner, and we had a perfect day...even through we forgot the year.
Update 5/29/21: Today we were set to explore Agua Hedionda, a local lagoon. That in itself should have been awesome enough because the name means “stinking waters.” But no! At the discovery center, the docent asked if we’d like to hold any of the reptiles. Snake please!
This is Remy, the ball python. It’s not everyday that someone invites us to hold the snake!
Here's to life's surprising adventures!
